A fairly scarce two edition set bound from the original 8 divisions of these fascinating books. The volumes make up a comprehensive dictionary of the Religious Faiths of the world. Each volume contains numerous top quality full page steel engravings (many sets have been robbed of the engravings). This set is in complete order with all engravings.

The full title of this volume is "The Faiths of the World; an Account of all Religions and Religious Sects, their Doctrines, Rites, Ceremonies, and Customs. Compiled from the Latest and Best Authorities." The volumes are arranged in alphabetical order with Vol I covering A-G and Vol II covering H-Z.

Vol I = 992 pages. Vol II = 930 pages.

A fascinating book which was published just after the Church was completed.  The book tells the story Church, founded approximately 100 years before, the new building and it's activities.  At the time of publication, the Riverside Church was a Baptist Church.

I would guess this to be an extremely rare publication.
